ping @rudigerstrempel.bsky.social - seems that ICES will duplicate what HELCOM has done for many year with success ...
But hasn’t HELCOM producer and published 3 Integrated Ecosystem Assessments since 2010 (HOLAS1, HOLAS2 and HOLAS3)? All 3 seems to be data- and tool-based using HEAT, BEAT, CHASE and BSPI/BSII. All these tools are fully documented in peer-reviewed articles.

Women, non-native English speakers & those form low-income countries are disadvantaged in science but by how much? We found that women with non-English first languages from low-income countries publish up to 70% fewer in English than their counterparts. 1/5

To the non-expert, this will seem esoteric, so allow me to summarise: we have profoundly altered the distribution of nutient elements on the ocean, with a potentially profound impact on the life that lives in it.
⚒️ Article: The proportion of carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus in the ocean now substantially differs from the Redfield ratio, likely reflecting a reduction in phosphorus limitation

The messaging about the oxygen we breathe is not correct: theconversation.com/humans-will-...
Humans will always have oxygen to breathe, but we can’t say the same for ocean life
We are not at risk of running out of oxygen due to climate change, but ocean creatures are – and that will harm the whole planet.
