i will say having a regular job aka stable money does take the sting off of having to take like a week per page at best. also if I didn't have a job to distract me would my hands be shredded bouquets of licorice meat by now...? job actually..... good for me..??

i wanna say that you can draw comics while holding a full time job. I don't just mean doujinshi. I have a friend w/a published manga that has been officially localized in NA and they have a day job. I also have a full time job and I draw this much but I'm comics georg adn should not be counted

rather than a sign that you suck, think of struggle as a problem to solve. it isn't personal it's just how things work. be scientific, trial and error and all that. you should try to observe your own thoughts and reactions for hints on ways to solve those problems

lrp yeah... I went to fanime a couple years ago after not being accepted to AA having not tabled since before covid and god things felt really different. the reliance on manufactured goods especially... no more hand laminated keychains 🙃I kinda laid the idea of ever tabling again to rest just then

its a bit of a relief to see other artists feel the same about how US artist alley has become more ""hustle culture"" with a focus on making marketable goods with ok enough art, and less ""check out this mental illness"" with 200 doujinshi pages of the best sucking and fucking you can ever imagine

there was an extremely minor earthquake and I panicked and threw myself off my chair to try and rescue my cat bc I was sure our floor to ceiling windows were going to explode and shred him like doc ock's wife. he ran away from me and I skinned my elbow
What's the most ridiculous way you ever hurt yourself? I got out of the tub, skidded in water and tripped over the toilet. Ankle sprain.

I’ve been taking a week break from drawing & games to rest my hand after I messed up playing too much stardew valley, and it was easy on days when I had work but now I have 3 days off and I’m going to be so bored. I just have to last until new years
