Well, I have a new reason to stay alive. Looks like Koji Shiraishi directed a new thing (KINKI, 2025) that is reliably being called his most NOROI-ish project since NOROI *and* it's based on a novel that's getting a translation later this year or early next.

I continue to fight tooth and nail against the day job drain and trauma-related depression that seeks to sap me of my writing motivation. Over the last few weekends it’s been through a balance of reading and art.

Getting a lot of comfort from hearing from multiple friends in multiple directions unrelated to each other that they have a lot of writing balls up in the air that they, too, are scrambling in some form or another to keep straight so I feel less bad at being overwhelmed with my own. C’est la vie
