Seeing the conversation about AI in ttrpgs appearing again and rightly so. But something I think is always ignored is the deeper issue of the demands of the public. People expecting exceptionally high quality products filled from cover to cover with amazing artwork but then refusing to pay for pdfs

You can play a character who doesn’t want to be on an adventure at my table. You can’t have your character not participate. In other words. You lose access to the excuse “that’s what my character would do.”
We have all had this issue - people who don't actually want to play the adventure.
"This doesn't interest my character" you say? Well, who controls your character? You do. I'm your GM, I'm not a drama coach, I can't help you 'find your motivation' darling.

When writing RPG adventures, it’s good to try to cover the possible player choices and to provide clear motivation to follow the plot.
But it’s almost always a waste of word count to consider players who don’t want to play the adventure.
