Truth seeker, wherever it may lead.
It will make you uncomfortable, and eventually set you free.
Some days feels like the Morality of Israeli's has been infected with the Morality of Hamas.

Killing civilians is wrong. Even if your opponent believes otherwise, don't let their poor moral choices direct yours.

Pondering @davephilipps.bsky.social awesome article, and the simple goals of Warfare.

1. Prohibit enemy troop freedom of movement.
2. Enable freedom of movement for your troops.

Interesting to learn the M1E3 has "radar-guided automatic interceptors".
If works, would allow freedom of movement.

a spontaneous personal experience which then might
lead to marriage."

We need this campus rule:

Students may advocate/protest for change.
This activity must be non-violent, and endorse only non-violent methods.
If a word used is typically related to violence, the student must pro-actively clarify the word is modified, and only involves non-violence.

Self-deception and automatic belief
by Francesco Marchi
Self-deception and automatic belief
Self-deception is a common phenomenon. Most traditional accounts of self-deception agree that self-deception is doxastic as it involves the acquisition of a false belief. Thus, it seems that any ad...

Brain puzzle question.
World-wide, what are the number of personal images put to paper, and how has this changed over time?

Specifically, with Kodak film now minimally used, but printers everywhere and the cost of images falling; how has this number changed over time?

Can a baby be enraged?
The baby doesn't 'know' the word. So, can the emotion occur given the baby lacks word knowledge?

Learning about the concept of attitudinal vs expressive consent from Jesse Wall at @publicethicsblog.bsky.social

Better example, throwing a ball to someone.
Holding a ball in the throwing position, and waiting for 'other' to put their hands up for a catch, is attitudinal consent.
The 'Yes' in 'Yes Means Yes'
To grant permission for intimate, physical, acts, consent should be unambiguous. However, our sexual scripts – how we conventionally express our consent – are often subtle, unspoken, and rely on impli...

Confused - is Inequality important to voters?

I want a job, healthcare, and the ability to keep my family feed and entertained.

I don't care others can provide 4 houses for their family - one is enough for me.

(Actually, think they're stupid for working so hard to have 4 houses....)

Curious why Buridan's ass paradox is viewed as a Binary choice, not Ternary.
Specifically, the choice of taking a step to the left pile, a step right, or taking no step at all.

Choosing not to choose is a choice.

Reading about Solipsism and thinking 'Pain' is a delta word.
It communicates a change in state from 'normal' existence.

Ergo, a sound can be painful for one, but not another, as the other is used to the sound..

As @babadookspinoza.bsky.social notes; AI agents “thinking” is only a residue hidden in our language—its grammar, concepts, etc. in the training data they gobbled up.
They’ve convinced people AI chatbots aren’t only speaking but thinking, which is plausible if you don’t know how they work. They perform some cognitive tasks, but any logic in their “thinking” is only a residue hidden in our language—its grammar, concepts, etc. in the training data they gobbled up.
