Het gaat ons niet om 'normen en waarden', dat was voor een flink deel een fatsoensdiscussie (hoewel we zeker wel iets meer fatsoen kunnen gebruiken in de politieke arena). Het gaat ons om prepolitieke grondhoudingen en deugden die aan normen en waarden voor de omgang met elkaar ten grondslag liggen.

Precies, en het waren juist vrouwen die de deugdethiek (niet de deontologie of het utilitarisme) nieuw leven inbliezen: Elizabeth Anscombe, Philippa Foot, Linda Zagzebski, etc.
