This just might be a very good thing for Harvard.

Yes please!

I wrote a post for www.studyingcongregations.org To remind folks of just how much #congregations have to contribute at this moment

You’ll be very much missed @npr.org

And Lutherans are one of the main reasons there are so many LEGAL immigrants in Minnesota. They've been in the refugee resettlement business for a long time.

I do love the way the #Lutheran tradition of hymn singing keeps showing up in the sounds of protest in #Minneapolis. Those folks do know how to sing.

Hey @jackjenkins.me - what do we know about Pretti’s religious affiliation?

There's a lot of buzz about Christian revival among young adults in the UK & US. Perceptions of revival are fueled by results from opt-in online surveys. However, these surveys may be misleading. Surveys from random samples of the population don't show any clear evidence of revival.

My new post:
Has there been a Christian revival among young adults in the U.K.? Recent surveys may be misleading
Despite the widely recognized decline of Christianity in the U.K., there have been persistent rumblings of a Christian resurgence.

Hopefully a mentor’s notes are seen as the affirmation they are. When we spend the time to do all those marginal notes and make suggestions for clarification, it is a measure of the degree to which we think the ideas are worth investing in. And it means we trust your next steps.
My mentor sent notes.

There's good feedback, but also a lot of revision, I think. I'll know more after our meeting.

Cue me trying not to freak out.
I am supposed to meet with my mentor today to talk about my book today.

My youngest has the flu, and I've had two sleepless nights.

I'm sure it'll be fine.

See - I knew there were geniuses who'd already thought of this! 👍

Could some genius at BlueSky please fix it so if 15 people I follow all repost the same thing — I see it once, not 15 times? Perhaps with some sort of note like “Y and 14 others you follow reposted this”

The Social Security Administration aims to cut visits to field offices by nearly 15 million annually.

This is making it harder for Americans to access in-person services—and their benefits.

This is not "modernizing" Social Security.

Oh my - Lilly really does have more money than they know what to do with. And why is it that everything associated with AI has some astronomical price tag?

Department of Homeland Security continues its war on Christmas by suggesting the season is about deporting immigrants. In a new frenetic video, they make it seem like Christmas celebrations are for mass deportations. Christians should be offended, especially by inclusion of Nativity scene!

Yep. Us too, but there was also a bit of hoarding. When my mother in law died almost two decades ago we inherited her Christmas stuff. If we live long enough we might finish off all the ribbon and bows

I find the current Federal govt quest for all our personal data terrifying. It's just one small thing, but why do they need a photo of me and of my drivers license as the price of access to my own Social Security account??

Prepping a spring class that will include research on congregations--any kind? May I suggest a great resource -- studyingcongregations.org
