Today I received some mixed news. The good news is that my abstract has been accepted for a poster presentation at an international conference in Sweden. The bad news is that my application for a two months research visit in Austria was unfortunately rejected.

I would appreciate it if someone in this network could help me find where to download a recent "Floristic Map of the World or Biogeographic realms" shapefile.

In my book, Plant biodiversity conservation in Ethiopia, I called this — “Everything is in and from the forest” syndrome.

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to visit a botanical garden. I captured this captivating photo. How do you rate my photography skill?

In these terrible times we are going through, I wanted to share this beautiful crocus defiantly growing between cobblestones in our garden with you.
Take care! Stay strong!
We got a message from the university to remove any use of the "DEI", "diversity", "equity", or "inclusion" from all public-facing documents. They said that even "biodiversity" is being flagged by the federal government. We live in the dumbest timeline.

The #FDRE authority for civil society organizations has approved our NGO, "Conservation and Restoration for Ecosystem Sustainability (CARES)." Hence, organizations/Indv. who want to collaborate with us are welcome. We aim to operate across all regional states in Ethiopia.

One of the best movies!
