Winter sunsets on the beach with the family 😀

#sunset #campfire #beach #surf #silhouette

I think what's being said is "if we get rid of the coloured folks, we won't see who the racists are, so all will be good in the world".
Is there another planet I can go live on please? This one is full of ignorant people.

Nail. Hit. Head.

No surprise there. History lessons are not there to teach actual historical happenings, they're there to prop up the hierarchy. A story must be told and it must serve those in power.
EXCLUSIVE: England’s farms are being fertilised with a cocktail of toxic landfill juice + sewage sludge.

750,000 tonnes of landfill leachate tankered to sewage works every year → mixed into sewage → spread on farmers' fields. 1/

At this point in time. Yes. Yes it is.

Some more portraits made in a care home at the height of the Covid 19 pandemic.

Had a little revisit to some work from a few years back, these were part of a series of portraits of masked care home workers during the covid 19 pandemic.

Guess he feels there's some accusations coming his way. Buffoon.

I'm not sure if he's nuts or I've gone crazy. Or maybe I'm going to wake up soon and all will be normal.
Please, let me wake up soon.

We'll end up with a world even more full of boring homogenised crap. Corporate greyness every where.

Kind of worries me really. Tech oligarchs making stuff without relyung on real people.
And beyond that grasp of power, goes the lack of emotion we'll end up with in films. We already see CGI overused & making the feel of a film poor, but to strip out all humanity from acting, not really for that.

I'm not sure about the source of this quote, but it sounds about right.

That is a pretty insane number. And people continue to blame the poor and disadvantaged for the ills of the country.
Starbucks’ CEO made 6,666x more than the company's median employee in 2024.

This was the widest CEO-to-Worker pay gap in the entire S&P 500.

Remember this before you order your next pumpkin spice latte.

Stunning place, so lucky to have such beautiful conditions to sail in.
fundamentally the problem is that if you think "hotels are where I stay on holiday and I like being on holiday so living in a hotel must be fun and it's not fair others get to do it and not me" then you have the intellectual reasoning of a little child and it's going to be hard to engage with you

You had me at respectable.

Indeed. They all got where they're going already 😀

It's great following you Andy, so many artists brought to light by your work.

I still look towards the tree as I pass, sometimes I'll pause a moment. To remember someone I never knew.
This unremarkable tree reminds me to take a moment, to see that people are there if we look, if we invite them in.

How to break that cycle, to move the boys away from it. To give them a chance.
He hadn't spoken of his troubles to J.
No clue it was coming, left wondering why. Wondering if only..?...

He spoke of his best friend who had been gone a year to the day.
Dan had for some reason chosen this unremarkable tree, and had made it remarkable.
He spoke of how Dan had lost his father the same way, and had now left two young sons behind. Generational trauma – that worried J....

I watched his gentleness for some time. After he stood with a glance to the sky, we spoke for a while. He spoke about his hopes for the future, how the park was a nicer place to be in the midst of a pandemic. How he likes to take pictures at work, from the vantage of a cherry picker....

It isn't an exotic species. It just sits quietly by the clock on the roundabout being unnoticed.
Back in in 2020 I met J. He was sat quietly by this tree.
He had just laid a flower at its roots, he struggled to light a candle.
Quietly, he shed a tear, only on the inside....

J Central Park Plymouth.

There is a tree in the park.

Nothing remarkable really.

It isn't a remarkable tree. You wouldn't pick it for anything. It's not the biggest, it's not very pretty, quite ordinary actually. You wouldn't choose it to build a chair or table, not even for fire wood....

Morning sun on the west side of our alley.
Soon, after 8 years of wandering along this alley we're heading to pastures new. I thought it would be good to take a look at what we leave. Each portal to a different life hidden behind. Each tells its own little story.
