In a recent paper @Nature, Gross et al. 2024 found an expected increase in functional diversity along an aridity gradient. In our preprint, we offer a different perspective where more nuanced differences are found @cpcarmona.bsky.social @e-beccari.bsky.social #Macroecology #FunctionalTraits
