Great initiative! Please count me in!
Working with individual trait data and functional trait spaces and bored about means?

With @cpcarmona.bsky.social, Agnese Bissi and @etordoni.bsky.social, we put together a perspective to test the effect of individual observations on trait space properties 👇👇

Very proud of Nicola!! Or better, Dr. Pavanetto!! It has been a beautiful journey together with lots of fantastic moments! Good luck for your future Nicola!

It is always a great pleasure @physaliacourses.bsky.social! Thank to you and to all the participants!
The 2nd edition of the course “Functional Trait Space Analyses in R” is coming to an end! 🎉
A big thank you to @gpuglielli.bsky.social and all the participants for three very productive and enjoyable days together. 🙌

ITV-net: leveraging intraspecific trait variability to bridge vegetation science and trait-based research in Italy ved.arphahub.com/articles.php...

The ‘manifesto’ of our initiative is out in @vegecoldiv.bsky.social! If you have itv-level data and you want to share them read the paper and dm me!
ITV-net: leveraging intraspecific trait variability to bridge vegetation science and trait-based research in Italy
Vegetation science is a branch of community ecology that relies on species identities and abundance to classify vegetation in coherent units and to explore species coexistence and turnover dynamics. T...

Great collaborative effort from the Italian community! Freely available empirical data for SLA and LA measured at the individual level for hundreds of species from all across the Italian peninsula! Data are also georeferenced and coupled with plot level info (e.g. cover)! 🌐

📢 ITV-net: the first Italian database on #PlantFunctionalTraits with #IntraspecificTraitVariability 🌱

ITV-net includes over 8,500 leaf trait records (LA/SLA) for 709 plant species across 8 Italian habitats, from coastal dunes to alpine grasslands.

Time to leave beautiful Seville!

Finally going back to my country to start a new position as assistant professor at the University of Trieste!

Sad, though, to leave this fantastic group of people that always made me feel home! Thanks a lot!

Exciting times ahead!
