said anarchist anthropologists (including Kropotkin who OMG I LOVE) studied societies outside the narrow Western record. indigenous nations, stateless groups, pastoralists, early cities, etc. they found huge diversity: cooperative, egalitarian, non-hierarchical societies existed for most of human history. they're talking about societies like: The !Kung San, Igbo, Mbuti, Hadza, many Indigenous nations of Turtle Island, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, the Zinacantán Maya, early Çatalhöyük, and countless pastoral or forager groups. These cultures had minimal or rotating leadership, collective decision-making, and norms against dominance.

La idea de instruir a ChatGPT surgió de una de sus estudiantes, que le propuso alimentar la plataforma para que lo ayudara a generar materiales didácticos.

On our last healthy day, we take a day trip to visit Chamula and Zinacantán - two small towns in Chiapas with indigenous Tzotzil Maya communities.

We visit the Church of San Juan, with its very unique religious practices (and strictly no photos allowed inside!).

Anthropologist Robert Laughlin spent his career collecting stories told by the Tzotzil speaking Maya of Zinacantan. I know of at least one volume in translation:
