I'm a 4th gen ranch owner. Despite growing up on a working cattle ranch, we no longer run cattle. We ran 1,000 head herd (it's a big ranch). The prob isn't meat packers. The prob is mainly climate variability. The climate simply isn't stable enough to run large herds anymore.
Deal with it.

Anyone designing an LLM system is creating a structured system for steering patterns at scale. This variability can transcend those restrictions, but they are not operating independently. "Designing" an AI system is about incentivizing behavior to constrain that variability.

I downloaded Krita just to try out new tools but i felt so free drawing without pixels. For the first time in years
Pixels mean less variability; you can't go too far wrong, but you're also limited in the other direction.
Time to evolve again 😶

This work adds a new perspective on the role of neural variability for human behavior and contributes to resolving the evoked response paradox that Buzsaki elegantly described in his @sfn.org autobiography: Variability and its consequences differ at opposite ends of the cortical hierarchy (4/4)

That's the issue: Are these jumps an outcome of ENSO driven natural variability - random noise - or are they forced variability driven by ocean heat uptake rates?
If it's the later we are fucked if recent GHG increases are to be taken seriously...

Another big finding was that QLCS events have changed drastically in the last decade and are not distributed uniformly. This is likely the result of dual pol implementation, different warning/reporting philosophy, changes in population/urban bullseye and some decades variability.
