Slime molds are nontoxic & do not harm plants or animals, but several animals DO eat slime molds, including some people!

It looks like this sometimes if it's immature and some species are more irregular than others but I agree, it's probably Tubifera

This may be a Raspberry slime mold (Tubifera ferruginosa), cosmopolitan. Waikahekaheiki, Puna, Hawaʻi.

The first photo is apple snail eggs, often confused for immature Stemonitis or Tubifera.

Im Wald gibt es so einige seltsame Lebensformen. Dazu gehört auch dieser nach Kaviar aussehende Schleimpilz, der orange leuchtend auf abgestorbenem Holz zu finden ist.

Fuligo septica has a history of forage in both the Americas & Europe, and probably elsewhere. I think it was likely used as medicine rather than food (zinc / chelators / etc).

I thought Tubifera was pretty good but I only tried a little. Reticularia lycoperdon is the one everybody wants.
