Coming in a bit late on this but I think @benmank77.bsky.social recently said Marvin Hamlisch rewrote and re-recorded the portion of his score playing over the last scene, at his own expense, realizing what he had originally didn’t suit the impact of that scene. #TCMParty #TheWayWeWere
