People don't get what a risk it feels like to CPTSD survivors to try new things, when we've been conditioned to believe we'll be mocked or abandoned for being "bad" at them-- which, EVERYBODY is bad at EVERY new thing at first.

Including children who were in state custody, like foster care, through no fault of their own, and sexually abused. These survivors are adults now, finally able to tell their stories…

However, the TV series "Survivors" (1975-77) created by Terry Nation (who created the Daleks for "Dr Who") is much closer to a Covid-19 prophecy.

It’s the worst of both worlds - endless headlines, zero accountability. When the story is always ‘shocking’ but never ‘charged’ or ‘convicted’, it starts to look like a system built to protect reputations, not people.

All it does is retraumatise survivors while the powerful carry on as normal.

Oh so that's the mid-credit scene in Sinners I never saw before. Yeah, not sure I like the questions it opens up on how those survivors have been getting by until now. I get the thematic closure of the conversation but the lore in-universe raises more questions than answers for those two being there

I've known a lot of people who say shit like that sticker and ignore or excuse actual CSA happening around them perpetrated by friends, family members, community members. Or they'll attack CSA survivors or use it to justify racism in addition to the lgbt bigotry.

He does have a relationship with a Halfling host named Phennell Thistlebottom Uzzi was raised from birth to become a career soldier in the Outlands Militia, where he first met Sheena and Ravi. He belonged to a reconnaissance unit, scouting for planar incursions and anomalies. While on a mission his unit was decimated, and Uzzi and the survivors relocated to Sigil. After his abandonment of the militia he had a difficult time adjusting to his new life, and soon reconnected with Sheena and Ravi where he became a mercenary. He joined the gang when it became clear he would have plenty of work accompanying them on their adventures. In a gang of eccentric personalities he sees himself as the only sane individual and their curmudgeonly babysitter. With them he doesn’t like being involved in drama just watching it, and is deeply trusted to watch over his friends when they need him. As a result of his encounter with planar anomalies, Uzzi knows a few tricks at manipulating planar energies. He’s also an expert marksman, favouring rifles and carbines and the use of trick shots and special ammunition. He carries a variety of special cartridges in his bandolier Wears a modified jacket from the Outlands Militia as a reminder of his past Prefers to walk barefoot when not on a mission

I'm a survivor (of the more mundane sort) and currently working to tell the stories of other survivors, so I know that well. It's important to understand that for Epstein, though, it was a means, not just an end. Like others before him, he used it to compromise and bond with the powerful.

This is an interesting question. I've been working on a thing that has made me think about this bad future and like..when the games plot is over, is there really any "point" to that timeline? You could presumably move the survivors to another place / time. Is it just a junkyard planet then?
