SpellBot dev here 👋 - Not saying that this is guaranteed to work against people who are unwilling to listen or anything like that, but I've at least got some real world data that can prove them wrong! Here's what I have for the last 30 days. Bracket 1 is maybe underrepresented on SpellBot / Discord.

SpellBot will now select the format for you when creating games. So if you create a Modern game with SpellBot, you can expect the format in SpellTable to also be Modern!

Heyo @gavinverhey.bsky.social -- There seems to be some issue with SpellTable. The games that SpellBot creates have a "no game found" issue when players try to join. It started happening a couple days ago. I don't know who to reach out to for help.

Recent maintenance on SpellTable seems to have broken something. Games created by SpellBot have the "no game found" issue when created. I have no way to reach out to Wizards for help. If anyone can contact them, please do! 🙏

People at WotC are looking into the issues with SpellTable's integration with SpellBot. In the mean time, I've changed the bot to create Table Stream links instead. If and when we can get SpellTable working again, I'll revert this change. Thank you all for bearing with me through these difficulties!

There's a new rules: option for /lfg where you can stipulate additional rules for your game lobby. This will affect matchmaking! So users that just run /lfg with any rules will NOT be put into your lobby. People can of course still join your game if they click the Join button though.

I've scheduled the next few games under server events. Please check this out first! The server uses SpellBot to manage game pods. We'll try to have as many pods as necessary to accomodate interested players. Other than that, have fun. Make friends. The only rule is, be kind to each other :)

SpellBot now supports brackets! You'll have the option to select your bracket from a list when you run the /lfg command. Enjoy!

One thing I would love to see is the integration with the SpellTable API restored so that SpellBot could create lobbies directly on behalf of Discord users. @magic.wizards.com
