Hopefully everyone is enjoying a faster more responsive bot! Here's a graph of how long it takes the bot to spin up a new SpellTable game. Things get a lot less spiky and drop to around ~2ish seconds since the recent maintenance was completed. 🎉

Heads up! The bot will be down for a bit this weekend, Saturday night, for scheduled maintenance. I'm not sure for exactly how long. We're migrating to a new cloud provider.

One thing I would love to see is the integration with the SpellTable API restored so that SpellBot could create lobbies directly on behalf of Discord users. @magic.wizards.com

I'm aware of an issue affecting the bot from being able to create SpellTable games. I have a fix on the way now!

There's a new rules: option for /lfg where you can stipulate additional rules for your game lobby. This will affect matchmaking! So users that just run /lfg with any rules will NOT be put into your lobby. People can of course still join your game if they click the Join button though.

SpellBot will now select the format for you when creating games. So if you create a Modern game with SpellBot, you can expect the format in SpellTable to also be Modern!

Big props to @lexicalunit.com for updating @spellbot.io to support Commander Bracket Beta in the LFG command. Has helped streamline the ability for people to adopt it on @tolariancommunitycollege.com's Discord.

SpellBot now supports brackets! You'll have the option to select your bracket from a list when you run the /lfg command. Enjoy!

I'll be adding the bracket system to SpellBot soon!

People at WotC are looking into the issues with SpellTable's integration with SpellBot. In the mean time, I've changed the bot to create Table Stream links instead. If and when we can get SpellTable working again, I'll revert this change. Thank you all for bearing with me through these difficulties!

Heyo @gavinverhey.bsky.social -- There seems to be some issue with SpellTable. The games that SpellBot creates have a "no game found" issue when players try to join. It started happening a couple days ago. I don't know who to reach out to for help.

Recent maintenance on SpellTable seems to have broken something. Games created by SpellBot have the "no game found" issue when created. I have no way to reach out to Wizards for help. If anyone can contact them, please do! 🙏

Version 13 of SpellBot is live. This version adds support for Table Stream, an alternative to SpellTable! Check it out now at table-stream.com. To create Table Stream games use the "Table Stream" service option in /lfg. You can also set it as you default if you want!
