One of the most enthusiastic of Glenda Farrell’s out-of-town reviewers for “Divided Honors” had predicted that she would become a hit—“high priestess of the cult” was the phrase he had used—once the play hit New York.

A couple weeks later, he had a follow-up, loudly proclaiming “We Told You So!”

Took a few days off to rest my arm/shoulder, but I'm back working on my Blackwork Embroidery sampler.

Pattern by Cliffside Stitches.

Lots of delays are AC coupled, so I suspect they may act like the Pulsar's trigger modifiers, if you send a gate to them. Might have to try that. The Tyme Sefari is DC coupled, so it can act as a lofi CV recorder, which can be a lot of fun. Playing back CV with samplers can get really weird.

We still have what are now vintage samplers and synths that use Zip and Jaz drives.

Or would, if we had any such drives and disks still.

I'm sure there'll be samplers etc where it's possible to extract Alex's guitar parts (which I'm still trying to figure out which ones 😂) and replace them with EVH's
Thought :-

If Eddie Van Halen was playing on Anesthetize instead of Alex Lifeson, how would it sound ? 🤪

Related side thought: We are several years into the "AI" boom, has any new art movement been borne out of it yet? With any past technical leap, whole movements have formed (in music, tape recording, samplers, digital home recording all sparked genuine creative advancements).
Experience is central -- no art has any "qualitative value" without experience. Now, people can attribute meaning to synthetic images, but that is also an experience. But as UW's Gabriel Solis once put it so well: writing, art, performance -- these are ways of being human *together*.

Lol I was watching a video about samplers used in early Industrial music and recognized at random that an orchestral hit from the Fairlight CMI was passed forward & eventually ended up on an obscure booty music track 🙃

Daily Cross Stitch Patterns for 2026
I've decided to set up my etsy shop for craft supplies and patterns, and to get my shop established as quickly as possible, I'm going to be posting one hand-drawn pattern per day. Other patterns may also go up, such as photo conversions or samplers. For the first one, I have a lovely bluebird. Measures approx 11x11" at 18 stitches per inch.

Samplers connect us directly to their makers. Emma’s work has survived for over 140 years, a personal record of learning and belief. Plan your visit to see more stories like this at Hollytrees Museum: colchester.cimuseums.org.uk/visit/hollyt...

In 1881, 12-year-old Emma Joslin of Little Braxted stitched this colourful sampler.

Samplers were a way for children to practise needlework, literacy and religious devotion. Emma included alphabets, numbers, crowns, trees and animals.

Hello all, this is Shick?

I'm an amateur music producer... or something... I make sounds, that are sometimes music, most of the time with my "healthy" collection of synths and samplers.

If this is something you enjoy and want to see more. Give me a follow. I look forward to jamming with you all!

Did you have to upgrade samplers/schedulers to get the Beta57 scheduler?

He’s not entirely wrong, there was/is a lot of shitty electronic music churned out. But:
- electronic artists can (and do) play instruments too
- hardware synths, samplers and sequencers are basically instruments
- composition and songwriting are musically just as important as instrument playing
