A new ‘Rivers at Risk’ report from Campaign for National Parks, in partnership with the Rivers Trust, reveals that 57% of rivers in National Parks fail to meet good ecological status.

This is not only a national concern, but is affecting our west country rivers too.

Our ops team have been out removing in river barriers again this month by taking out this redundant ford crossing.

Although barriers such as this are not a huge impact as single barriers, accumulatively they can have a major impact on fish and river health.

Last weekend, we joined the Durham Regatta to raise awareness of invasive species and promote the Check, Clean, Dry method. 💧

We also kick sampled upstream, showcasing river invertebrates to the public and highlighting their role in monitoring river health. 🌿
