The BRIGHT project is underway. In Ethiopia, World Waternet trained Abbay, Shashemene, and Awassa utilities with Blue Deal, Ministry of Water & Energy, and the Urban Water & Sanitation Federation. Adama received a Hach kit and an mWater award. Thanks to Blue Deal for supporting partners.

In Addis Ababa, the Water and Land Resource Centre and World Waternet launched the BRIGHT programme to strengthen Ethiopia’s water data systems. Supported by the Netherlands and the EU, it will help manage rivers, rainfall, and groundwater for a more water-secure future!

The Dji Tiaman project in Mali shows what is possible when partners join forces. Together with SOMAGEP, SOMAPEP, ONEE and the Young Expert Programme, we reduced Non-Revenue Water, saving 3.6 million litres daily and providing reliable water to over 70,000 people.

Monitoring water quality in Bamako, Mali, was once paper-based, time-consuming, and at risk of data loss. With tablets, SOMAGEP now collects and secures data in real time. Through WaterWorX, World Waternet supported this step to strengthen safe drinking water delivery.

Many water plants in Laos treat surface water in six steps, including flocculation where particles clump before settling. Turbidity changes rapidly between dry and rainy seasons. We helped the PNP team improve flocculation by adjusting baffles and will monitor results for six months.
