Some more #LearningGodot:

- Locked door that opens with a key
- Tracker that knows when every enemy in a room has been defeated, and drops an item after
- Boomerang, complete with SFX, hurtbox, and item retrieval feature
- Subtle item magnet, so pickup retrieval doesn't need to be pixel-perfect

The retrieval turn is nonsense. We can't even find a source that hasn't been meddled with by the Lucas editor. Show me a reference to a "Skywalker" w/out "I have a bad feeling about this" scribbled into the margins or accept that we are firstly scholars of oral tradition, not history. And that's ok!

I see representationism leading to the idea of storage and retrieval, and, therefore, lessons focused on memorisation and answering correctly.
UK education would be better off embracing non-representationalist cognitive science.
A enactive/pragmatic turn is needed in education.

So what actually helps?
Not personas. And fine-tuning? Not always.

The real improvements came from:
✅ Providing stylistic examples of the user
✅ Adding context retrieval from past posts

Together, these reduced detectability by 4-16 percentage points.

We test the state-of-the-art methods for calibrating LLMs — and then push further, using advanced fine-tuning.

We benchmark 9 open-weight LLMs across 5 calibration strategies:

✍️ Stylistic examples
🧩 Context retrieval
⚙️ Fine-tuning
🎯 Post-generation selection

Gorsuch gets him to again concede that President doesn't have inherent authority in peacetime.

Don't we have a serious retrieval power here, once Congress delegates, Congress can't take that back w/o super majority, It's gonna be veto proof. What President will ever give power back?
November 5, 2025 at 4:01 PM
""Justice Gorsuch asked about the 'retrieval problem' — the difficulty of taking power back from the president. It takes only a bare majority of Congress (with presidential assent) to delegate the power, but a supermajority to retrieve the power — unless a president www.rawstory.com/donald-trump...

My argument is that whatever you choose: "storage" or "no storage" this is a fundament upon which you will derive viable actions. EduCogSciers have sold "storage & retrieval" as the only game in town, but that's not so.

Retrieval tasks, quizzes and hinge questions are useful tools, but when they dominate a lesson, they take time from the activities that actually build knowledge.
