#protestcore
I know folks are super into their protestcore best practices but these aren’t black bloc actions. These are permitted community events.

Probably gonna put a QR code on one of the next posters to send people to my soundcloud or youtube, depends on when I get the music videos going. Been gettin footage. I wonder if some of it's ITAR restricted! This could be pretty fun (spoiler: is)
My brand of protestcore: dark disco'd future-funk(?)

Everyone will have their own personal touch they always bring to any endeavor, and that's welcome. My protestcore is melancholy and driving, it goes between indie disco dance and future funk and dirty electro, slightly dubsteppy. It's melodic and can be at least occasionally technical.

Cool that there's interest (thank you!), I'll expand on protestcore, I've thought about it more in the last several weeks. It could be weaponized, in a sense, by allowing for coordination of crowd energy and focus. Timesync would be great for large crowds (sound speed delay from one side to another)

One song so far in particular is very intentionally protestcore. It has fake Trump quotes sampled, corresponds to my one of my protest poster artworks, and it is tippytoppy banger, and I'm only a few hours into it. Love moments like these. Nowhere to go but up from here, but timeliness is a thing

My favorite new millennial trope is "guy who's waiting for organized violent protests before RSVP'ing 'yes'"

Heh, and holy hell do I have some movement on the protestcore front. And humor. I can't abstain, it's one of my top coping mechs. I'm somewhere between 1/5 and 1/2 of an album...

We will also be exploring the idea of an app specifically for protests, wherein a central audio broadcast is synchronized to all phones within a local bluetooth meshnet. We are also producers and musicians, so we're also working on something like "Protestcore" with a German friend/producer
