This government has never tried to hide its true colors but empowering the worst of the worst to attack and terrorize is so far beyond the bounds of civil society. The government has abdicated its responsibilities as human beings. We MUST NOT ALLOW THEM TO BACK DOWN. They have been charging ahead knowing that their white nationalism is not supported by the citizens but hoping that if they can shock and bully enough people that they can implement their agenda. A retreat here or there only masks the massive assault on civil liberties and decency. We do not seek common ground with racists and misogynists. We do not seek common ground with homophobes and zealots. For decades they have moved the goal posts and the "opposition" has followed further and further. As the Right has attacked civic governance and made the nation subject to the whim of King Donald they have left behind their sanity and morality. We must not follow them. We must walk the opposite direction and fight them for the future. No cooperation. No half-measures. No more madness. This government is illegitimate. Immoral. Ignoble. This government rules without the consent of the people and against their interests both foreign and domestic. No Putin-pal, no bootlickers, no kings. Down with the government. Down with THIS government.
