Pretending that the entire population is comprised of the people from infomercials for products like pasta drainers and stackable plasticware.

"How many times has THIS happened to YOU?" *Actor pours pot of hot pasta water directly into pants*

It's been a while since our last guinea pig went to the great carrot patch beyond, but I still feel seen. 😆

I know I use them well past their shelf life. My N95s will last me one to two months apiece with normal use. Same with my “disposable” razor.

Plastic shopping bags, plasticware, and “recyclable” containers are a *much* greater concern. That’s where I focus my conservation efforts.

I really think hand-washing dishes takes less time and effort than the dishwasher lol. you already have to scrub and rinse so you might as well finish the job. I only really like the dishwasher for glassware because it's a hassle to get that looking perfect by hand. maybe plasticware too

I’ve been packing mine to travel with (because the amount of times I’ve been in a hotel with takeout an no plasticware is embarrassing!) and pulling my bag out doing cookouts at my house. 😭😂

I’ve been saving all the plasticware that came with my takeout orders since the pandemic. I have enough to last a lifetime. This is what I’m bringing to the table during the collapse of society. You want me on your team.

-Currently, a serving tray with a few placemats in it are up there.
-Back where I’m from, my dad would keep a few tin cookie cans, and extra egg cartons for his chickens.
-In my previous shared room, I kept disposables: plasticware, paper plates and cups there.

Finally got these cleaned up. At the auction a few weekends ago, one of the lots I purchased was a tub full of plasticware. These were the pieces that got me to bid on them; the MOTU cups in particular.

but then it would get so bad, it would become a flow clog, so you try to bring one or 2 down every once in a while but then youre eating literally 3 times a day lol. they tried getting my plasticware to fix the issue, it only slightly alleviated the it. well trash and crumbs etc. were the same.

Polymers are everywhere. They give tires their toughness, make plasticware lightweight & durable & lend nylon clothes their stretch & strength. Tina Lin, a McWilliams Fellowship awardee, is designing new ways to build & customize these materials at the molecular level.

spouse has a dehydrator for 3d printer reasons, but dried apples are killer. you want even slices altho you can dry apple chunks, too, it just takes longer. toss with some lemon juice, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. we made three big plasticware containers and the whole fam scarfed them down.
