It really ties in to how even modern encyclopedias make shit up! There is a lot of interpretation in them, they're not all objective truths, and even studied biological functions arent fully understood to this date. I feel the unreliability of the Piklopedia makes it feel very immersive 🙂↕️

The game also tops itself off with a lot of fun Piklopedia entries with all 5 captains giving humorous dialogue, a ton of challenge maps with endless replayability and some of the funniest lines in Nintendo history and you got yourself an unmissable game. Pikmin is a game only real gamers can enjoy.

...stuff like the Piklopedia/Treasure Hoard, the new types. There's also stuff that I'm still kinda mixed on (proc-gen level design, silent protag Olimar, & I think its corpo satire could've gone further). I also still prefer the Wii version (I feel I was much less creative w/ combat... (2/3)

currently going through 3U atm & yeah, i don't see it either. 3DX might be a bit less polished (ex. janky animations) but i think gyro-pointer is the best control scheme the series has ever had, charge is way more functional as a multitasking tool, & then the new content (piklopedia, side stories)

This bastard, Is one of the best additions to the pikmin series! It's terrifying and I love it. I love the pikmin series, the creature design, lore, anatomy, I love it all so much. I just wish they would have made pikmin 3 longer, more difficult, and kept the piklopedia...

also notable is that they are the only non-obstacle interactable thing not found in the piklopedia, likely due to their obscurity. even mostly unskilled players don't take even 15 days to complete the game, so running into ujadani is unlikely for anyone that doesn't already know about them

The game went out of its way to make it so you can't throw bombs at Pikmin in the normal Piklopedia but for some reason it's perfectly fine with decor Pikmin getting bombs thrown at them

Saved for last: Trunkey's Amazing Odyssey! A 3D action game with lots of Pikmin elements (treasure collecting, moving bases, even a piklopedia). There's tons of potential! In its current state running around/platforming isn't that fun and there's no map. But Trunkey's a fun character and... 1/2
