Having to repeatedly take the iPhone out of the case is something I’ve wanted to avoid ever since I dropped my 13 Pro Max on gravel whilst snapping it into the original phoneskope case. In that regard the Phoneskope lollipop adapter works well, it’s the overall weight that’s the problem methinks…

Hi Mike, Thanks for reply. I’ve used the same adapter as you with numerous past Pro Max/Plus models, but eventually got tired of having to remove the iPhone out of its case in order to snap it in multiple times per day. It’s the Phoneskope Lollipop Adapter I use so I can keep the iPhone in its case.

Hi Bill, I use a PhoneSkope original adapter with an iPhone 15 Pro Max with no issues at all. Very simple design and easy to use. Worth checking them out. Been using PhoneSkope for years, great support as well as great product. Recommended.

Anyone happy using the Swarovski VPA2 phonescope adapter with a Pro Max size (and weight) iPhone or Android equivalent? I’m an iPhone 17 Pro Max/Phoneskope adapter user, fed up of it falling off the eyecup presumably due to weight to the point I’m considering downsizing to the Pro… 1/2 #BirdingGear

Black Woodpecker. Was too close & definitely too cold to risk getting out of the car to phoneskope this, so handheld, phone only through the windshield had to do. What a beast she is! 😍😍😎 #birds #birding #birdwatching #woodpeckers #finland

If you want to take photos & video through your scope, you won't go wrong with @phoneskope .Whether it's a dedicated phone case or the 'Lollipop' universal adaptor (pictured here), you'll get great results without spending a small fortune.

Afraid not. I’ve lost the adapter to my phoneskope and my camcorder has broken. I’m having to take freehand photos through my scope at moment. Good for ducks on rocks and shrikes that sit still, crap for flitting passerines and moving harriers. Got eyes on camera for Xmas though! 🤞

It takes me seconds to slip my phone out of its case and into the Phoneskope adapter single handedly and vice-verse. I really like to keep things as simple as I can! I recently tried a lollipop adapter and ditched it after just one use cos it was no where near as simple as the case-style adapter.

I have used the same Phoneskope cases as you for several years, but nowadays prefer to keep the iPhone in its case hence moving towards universal adapters. The main issue is the C3 adapter slipping off the ATX eyepiece. Have noticed the rubber has lost its rigidity which seems likely the reason…

When I'm out birding I just put the phone in the Phoneskope case and leave it in there until I get home. I've dropped it a couple of times and it has still protected my screen as well as any other phone case. It's a bit bigger for my pocket, but I got used to it pretty quickly.

Ah!… So you take your phone out of the case, slot it into the plastic Phoneskope case then fit it to the C3 adapter. I don’t want to have to take the phone out of the case multiple times a day which is why I eventually started trying the universal adapters.

I think the problem stems from it being “universal”. Newpro don’t recommend the lollipop for iPhones or Samsung. I use a PhoneSkope case for my iPhone and the ATX adapter. Very tight fit and decent results. I wear glasses, so take the adapter off the scope but you can leave them on the eyepiece.

Why did you opt for the lollipop adaptor rather than the dedicated iPhone case and eyepiece ring? I leave the ring on my ATS eyepiece, which fits very tightly and you can then quickly attach the Phoneskope case. I've a lollipop type, they're a pain in the arse.

That looks a much better design than any adapter that claims to fit a specific eyepiece. I had the opposite problem to Bill with a PhoneSkope adapter - it was too tight and distorted the rubber on my Kowa eyepiece so badly that I had to get a new eyecup in the end. And the adapter went in the bin.

What I like about universal adapters like the Phoneskope lollipop is the fact you can leave the phone in the case. Got so sick and tired of the need to do that with the hard shell Phoneskope adapter. It’s universal adapters all the way for me from now on for this reason alone.

I use the Phoneskope case type with my iPhone 13 mini. Have tried lollipops but can’t stand them. When I change my phone I’ll go for a Hawke model so the adapter will fit any phone going forward.

At the end of my tether with both PhoneSkope lollipop adapters not gripping ATX eyecup despite being fine initially. Sides of eyecup perhaps greasy? Can anyone recommend a wipe/solution that won’t degrade the rubber eyecup before rattle gets thrown from pram & I look at other adapters! 🤞#BirdingGear

You can use Phoneskope eyepiece adapter C-3-107 for phonescoping (for details see www.newprouk.co.uk/phoneskope/i...)

My spotting scope is an Opticron MM4. I have a PhoneSkope adapter which fits onto my mobile and aligns it with the scope eyepiece to allow me to take photos and videos on my phone, through the scope. It's never very crisp but it's good enough for record shots, which is really all I need it for.

For some reason my crap photo of red kite didn't make it on here ? Anyway ordered phoneskope adapter, has anyone used one or similar? Like I said hopefully it will produce better image than hand held trying to line up lens in scope eyepiece 😂
