Anyone happy using the Swarovski VPA2 phonescope adapter with a Pro Max size (and weight) iPhone or Android equivalent? I’m an iPhone 17 Pro Max/Phoneskope adapter user, fed up of it falling off the eyecup presumably due to weight to the point I’m considering downsizing to the Pro… 1/2 #BirdingGear

Phonescope video of Whooper Swan. Hanging around in the same field for 6 days now. #BirdingHungary #swans #waterfowl

20 Russian White-fronted Geese including 2 juvs with Greylags at Whitekirk this morning. No prizes for distant phonescope pics but nice to find a substantial Lothian flock.

A Great Skua off Musselburgh yesterday was a rare winter patch record #birdinglothian @birdinglothian.bsky.social

Phonescope video of a few of the Great Bustards (Otis tarda) I saw this afternoon. Watching these big boys is a great way to spend a Sunday! 😀 #BirdingHungary #bustards #bigbirds

Surely the sexiest duck you can see around Ireland, only about my 4th one ever. Long tailed duck 🪶

Distant phonescope in bad light. But you can see what it is.

Phonescope video of two distant Great Bustards in the fog and snow. These two were having some sort of confrontation. Not sure what it was about, but the one on the left eventually backed off. 😀 #BirdingHungary #bustards #BigBirds

My favourite phonescope video of one of the Penduline Tits at Aust, they allowed close views as they fed around the small area.

Thank you! I've checked my phonescope videos too and no rings are apparent on the right leg. I have no footage of the left leg I'm afraid.

Thirty minutes at Abberton this morning from LDLH causeway where the weather was unusually pleasant!
4 adult Bewick Swans nr the pumping station.
11 RCPochards from Billets.
Surprised to find 3 BlnGrebes loosely associating with 2 Slav Grebes.
Dreadful phonescope pics - enjoy😅

And a short phonescope video, it seems to like the same sort of area so hopefully it'll stick around a little longer!

Though always distant, here's some phonescope video of the drake Green-winged Teal at Clifton main pit today with around 200 Eurasian Teal & still present at dusk. No sign of the Ring-necked Duck today. #WorcsBirds

Bad phonescope video at sunset... trying to capture these Spotted Redshanks (Tringa erythropus) that were mucking about behind the White-fronted Geese. #BirdingHungary #WaderWednesday #sandpipers #waders #shorebirds

Short phonescope vid of Meadow Pipit (Anthus pratensis). Bright, pinkish legs, bold striping on the top of the head and back and a supercilium that doesn't extend back of the eye. These are some of the field marks, but I still struggle with pipit ID. 🤔 #BirdingHungary #pipits #FallMigration2025

Phonescope vid of a distant Eurasian Curlew (Numenius arquata). Common on the Hungarian plains most of the year, except in mid-winter. A hardy bird, there are still lots around when most other #shorebirds have left for the south. #BirdingHungary #curlews #WaderWednesday #waders

One more Great Bustard phonescope vid from the weekend. I filmed this one because it appeared to have a bit of a limp. The right leg or foot seemed to be bothering it. #BirdingHungary #bustards #bigbirds #birdsofthepuszta

Phonescope video of some of the Great Bustards from this afternoon. One of them looks up as if to say, "Hmm.. is that that birder hiding in a bush again? I wish he'd give it up." 😂 #BirdingHungary #bustards #bigbirds

Now that's what I call a record shot 🙂 It's been ages since I've seen a Great Grey Shrike in Bedfordshire, so when news broke late this afternoon of a bird (found by Mark Newman) only 10 minutes from home it was a no-brainer to give it a go in fading light #UKBirding
