I had to share this excerpt from P. D. Ouspensky's "The Symbolism of the Tarot" originally published in 1913. The end of the entry on the major arcana card XV The Devil.

Although I was unfamiliar with Hinton, apparently he had well-known fans like Salvador Dali, Alan Moore, Iain Sinclair, Jorge Luis Borges, Rudy Rucker, P. D. Ouspensky, and Martin Gardner, who included his ideas in their art or writing. 9/9
