It’s totally possible its just my bias from living and growing up in north america, but there does seem to be an awful lot of little chaotic individuals or pockets of more chaotic populations in the last couple hundred years of history over here. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Maybe ‘chaos’ isn’t quite the right word 🤔

I don’t think we’re talking about civil code. We’re talking about common law vs civil law - the most prominent form of civil law in North America is Napoleonic Code, which was only really ever in force in Louisiana, tho’ I think it’s largely obsolete there now? I think California is just common-law.

True, past is past; however, Native Americans would have fared just fine without Columbus; European immigrant descendants, not so much. I'm not convinced North and South America are better because of Columbus and other European invaders. Nothing can change what we are, but we can debate events.
