man i know people (me included) were worried post-avemuji mutsumi stuff was going to go for either "that was full integration" or just mutsumichan and mortis because it was simpler but it is very nice to see some affirmation that's not happening in bandori-chan

These girls can fit so many mental issues in them! The representation of plurality through Mutsumi & Mortis was really amazing & groundbreaking in how well it was done.

add to that how uika's backstory involves some identity stuff very thematically reminiscent of mutsumi/mortis' whole deal, but in the end remains *completely* disconnected from it, and the tone being a lot more positive, and the whole thing feels like an excerpt from a different draft of the story.
