Here's the first photo I shot of Bobby, with Kingfish at the Capitol Theater, Passaic, NJ 12.5.75, and the last photo I took of Ace, at GD60 in Golden Gate Park, 8.3.25, his last show.
50 years, and three thousand miles between them ...
A lifetime ...
So many roads ...

On Side B: Bill Minkin rebranded himself as ‘Senator Everett McKinley’ and this time channelled Senator Everett Dirksen… same song, different side of the aisle, different sermon, same bad idea turned glorious. #BillMinkin #OneHitWondered

In 1967, Parkway Records dropped a 45 that was basically 🇺🇸 arguing with itself... Bill Minkin took the Troggs’ “Wild Thing” & did it twice. Side A: he slapped on the name ‘Senator Bobby’ & channelled RFK crooning like his campaign stop just got hijacked by rock and roll. A hit! #OneHitWondered

From Senator Bobby singing “Wild Thing” to the voice many of us have heard over the years saying ‘Welcome to the King Biscuit Flower Hour’... Bill Minkin went from political impressions to introducing rock’s biggest live sets on the FM dial. #BillMinkin #KingBiscuitFlowerHour #OneHitWondered

Remembering Bill Graham today
January 8, 1931 – October 25, 1991

Here, the grand overseer at Laguna Seca with the Grateful Dead 5/10/87

Without Bill's genius and chutzpa, the music scene we've had may have been quite different. His legacy lives on
