I have a beautiful fic I started for an AU, a few weeks ago, with artwork I did myself! I'd love to have a boost for #IFD2026 ❤️

It's titled "Requiem For An Angel", and it's a vampire version of the Phantom of the Opera with Lestat and Magnus

With luck, it can be finished by February 15 🥀!

Magnus and Lestat in the style of Erik and Christine from the Phantom of the Opera, but Magnus wears a translucent black veil to obscure his features rather than a mask. They're singing together, both their lips shaped in the same fashion, as Lestat learns by seeing the motion and matching it with hearing his own voice in harmony. Magnus reaches upward with his hand, expressing with his full body. He's wearing an outfit from his birth century, the fourteen-hundreds, which is heavily pleated, the jacket has a collar and large puffed sleeves, the shirt has embroidery in a vertical pattern. Lestat's wearing only a corset, with pearls and a cross bound lacing, and a necklace that covers his neck fully, with pearls and rubies. There's an elegant shawl on his arms, but his shoulders are exposed.

An in-progress piece of blackwork embroidery. Pattern by Cliffside Stitches. A collar made for the stage production of "Cats". This is to be worn by Macavity. A mask made for the Milan production of "The Lion King" musical. The character is one of the Tricksters who dances in "I can't wait to be King" and looks somewhat like a cross between a rhino and a crocodile. A tailored gold and black striped tailcoat for a cosplay of Sir Pentious from Hazbin Hotel. The top hat is made of matching fabrics with a large eye and gold teeth.

Here're 3 of my favourites
Illustration in the style of an old engraving. Inspired by the 1781 painting The Nightmare by Swiss painter Henry Fuseli. shows Copia being tormented by Perpetua. Here Copia replaces the woman in the original painting, in the same fainting position, lying on a small bed with his upper body hanging so far over the edge that his head is upside down and his left arm is touching the floor. Copia is wearing his simple papal robe, with the fluttering cape and copper-coloured embroidery, so that his body is enveloped in lots of drapery. Perpetua takes the place of the creature crouching on Copia's stomach, personifying the nightmare or sleep paralysis creature. His body is small and stocky, like a small demon, and his ears are exaggeratedly large. But it retains its own characteristics, such as the semi-skull mask and the spinal column ending in a long tail. There are only curtains in the background, adding to the drapery already present. The drawing has been done with a multitude of small cross-hatches. In the top left-hand corner I've caligraphed the words “Fucking V” in medieval lettering with lots of embellishments all around, the whole thing is textured in gold. Design on black background. This is Copia, aka Frater Imperator, wearing a black jacket, and black leaser gloves. A grucifix in black jewels is hanging from a silver chain, cliped on each side of the jacket, near the colar, pined with two rectangular red jewels. He is standing straigh, above two squeletons which seems to be alive. Each have a ocular globe and tongue hanging, looking happy to be face to face. Their bones are half uncovered, or covered in putrescent flesh, making hanging threads and masses of pustules. From the lower middle of their rib cage, their body seems to emerge from a pile of flesh, taking the shape of a giant heart (the organ). Copia held their skulls in each of his hands, as if pointing them towards each other. In the background, a gilded ornament, resembling rays of sunlight forming a complete circle, above which is a grucifix in the same gilded metal style as the rays. In the same gilded metal, an entralacement of bramble surrounds the heart-shaped organic mass. The whole is reminiscent of the Sacred Heart. Vertical illustration, lineart style. It shows Cardinal Copia in a white tails suit, leaning against a wrought-iron seat in oxidized bronze, appearing verdigris, on which sits a desiccated body, most of the skeleton visible and the flesh shrivelled into folds and drips. The mummy's garments are torn, and appear to be antique in style, as she wears a lace collar around her neck. She also wears a crown with a green jewel on her forehead. The seat is in art nouveau style and partially covered with climbing ivy. Among the ivy there are also a few bindweed flowers emerging from the foliage. As the cardinal holds the Zombie Queen's hand in his, a half-smile in his face, the mummy seems to come back to life, an eyeball gleaming in her left eye socket.

Museums often display the masks alone, but here we have the opposite: a costume lacking the wooden mask that would have accompanied it. During the Nigerian Igbo festival called “Fame of the Maidens,” male dancers embody the ideals of youthful feminine beauty through their masks, costumes, and movements. The appliqué designs in vivid colors refer to female body ornamentation, traditionally a combination of scarification and body paint. This costume, created for a small person, was originally made in two parts and later joined.
