They do have reasons for why they add characters but it's always different, some characters get added because they're fan favorites, some because they need more female characters, some because they need another heavyweight character.

i hadn't realized my second most played Switch game ever is Splatoon 3. i would have thought something else would be ahead but allt he other games i have played are below it (though, technically Mario Kart 8 would beat it if i added the Wii U version's playtime).

agree with your overall point, but fwiw super paper mario only crashes randomly on the wii u vc jp version. still bad, but didn't affect the vast majority of players. it is, unfortunately, the fastest version to speedrun though lol.

SUPER MARIO GALAXY 2 STATS 2025 🗣️
-Moved in April, the first thing I did after putting my new setup together was set up Galaxy 2 to play in ultra widescreen and with real Wii controls
-Played Galaxy 2 about half a dozen times before September (both handheld and docked since I have a handheld PC)

Just finished a game of new super Mario Bros Wii with some friends, and hearing them all yell at each other as they footstool one another. Pure gold. I of course got off scott free. Luigi gang rise up.

Everyone's favourite Mario Kart is the one they played as a kid, mine was Wii.
I do really like this game, there's definitely tons of fun multi-player to be had, its very punishing single player though compared to other mk games. Little invincibility frames, long hit stun.

Everyone's favourite Mario Kart is the one they played as a kid, mine was Wii.
I do really like this game, there's definitely tons of fun multi-player to be had, its very punishing single player though compared to other mk games. Little invincibility frames, long hit stun.
