oh mo om feeling nostalgic for RuneScape again, i really want to do the stories particularly the desert treasure/mahjarrat stories but :
1) I have to do a ton of grinding
2) Logging into RS3 gives me the ick the changes are overwhelming
3) Im preferring osrs but im playing ironman for now

I feel the book lacks that like. Repitition with description of characters to make them stick. Lucien is easy to remember, he's a boyfailure always walking around with his skeletons and he's so present in the main game. But Azzandra and some of the other Mahjarrat... Struggling to hold onto them.

I'm not exactly sure what it is, but I've been struggling to kind of "focus and retain" what's going on in the story so far. I think if I brushed up on the Mahjarrat we know from the game, that would have been helpful.

I agree, but it does kind of feel like they really wanted to use the Edict reestablishment to more or less put him away forever. Everything that was super relevant to him has been more or less killed or ended. At most I can’t see the remaining Mahjarrat bringing him up periodically.

OSRS being a sandbox MMO where there isn't really a "main questline" (Mahjarrat quests are the closest, but not really comparable to MSQ) but instead several different questlines and ways to progress all more horizontal of each other rather than vertical, this sort of thing is natural.
