I'm the exact opposite of a lorenerd but I find the desperation to find a singular thread of "absolute truth" of the lore instead of engaging with the themes, ideas, and emotions of the games exasperating

Ngl chapters 4 and 5 might be my favorite ones in The Two Towers!
I love that Faramir is a lorenerd, a ranger and also not afraid to let Frodo and co go - despite the consequences for him - because he quickly understands their mission (unlike in the movie!)

What makes it even more aggravating is that I actually like the part they added to the lore for the dwarves that the elves stole from them to create themselves, it’s fascinating broader story that my lorenerd ass just eats right up. But the story expands elves while dwarves shrink to make the room.
