On #LadyElliotIsland in March, Turnstone pootle round like hens, Pacific Golden Plovers patrol the lawns heedless of humans, Bar-tailed Godwits & occasional Lesser Sand Plover joining them on runway, Wandering Tattlers sticking to the shore. #BirdsSeenIn2023 #GreatBarrierReef 4/5

Black Noddies rule the roost on #LadyElliotIsland nesting (mainly around eye level on the regenerating vegetation) & resting noisily on every available surface, shading under likes of plane that brings you there, between fishing trips into the blue of the Great Barrier Reef. 2/5
