I confess I missed the disclaimer at the bottom and thought it was a real first person non-fiction piece and that the author was unthinkably brave. I love the piece! But yes I do think it’s a little more vague than maybe was intended?

I agree. It’s discouraging to see the trials that are hypothetically intended to get at the underlying biology (eg RECOVER) not even measuring or accounting for PEM correctly lol

tbh i think population reduction has been a goal of the capitalist class basically since the oil shock - reflecting more than anything just tilt-rage at a shifting global geopolitical power structure - and is intended by a mix of actual murder, excess death, and bureaucratic depersonalization

Our representatives in Congress were originally intended to be ordinary citizens who would serve and then return to their lives. I would caution evaluating a candidate's qualifications to represent you based solely upon their prior experience in elected office.
