Just make sure it's a traditional one. They have smaller ones these days for your wrist but they don't give accurate readings. I have an iHealth but the omrons are really popular

Been there done that. Sleep as much as you can, baby yourself even a bit, & drink TONS of water &/or noncaff tea. Don't rush yourself. Use the iHealth test (can get fast from Amazon I presume) to see if it's flu or Covid and see if you can get Tamiflu or Paxlovid to make it go sooner. Pax worked 4me

Well hurrah! Sorry about your mom. I highly recommend the iHealth COVID and Flu A & B tests. Paxlovid really helped me keep from having it go into my chest but I almost got tamiflu instead because I thought it was flu... Wouldn't have helped. Will this be your first grandbaby?

And ... I just took my one week after end of Paxlovid Covid test. Still tired and having to push to get in short walks, but that line isn't there, neither the bright red nor the light purple, for me nor my wife. I highly recommend the "iHealth COVID and Flu A & B tests"!
