We have that in common. Not from my parents but from life experiences. I have to disconnect sometimes for my own mental health. Focus on you and what you enjoy that gives you peace. Make plans, take a trip…. Pop in and out but don’t live here. It can bring you down.

Some experiences are so wonderful, we are like those who dreamed experiencing it. Yet some are beyond amazing when compared to our best experiences we are as though we had been sleeping all the while.

If you missed it I would urge you to take a few minutes over the weekend to look at the newsletter and the results of a survey I conducted about the experiences of women in crisis management and resilience.

Details below 👇
The latest crisis communication newsletter has a different focus this time. It publishes the results of the survey I carried out last year looking at women's experiences within crisis and emergency planning and resilience roles including communication.

8/ And no it's not fantasy, it's not faith, it's not belief.

I KNOW. I've died before. I KNOW there is an after. You can think me delusional if you'd like but that will not change my own personal experiences.

I'm not the best at putting it into words but I know what I know.

"As we navigate through the world, we are changed by a variety of experiences."

Maybe the reason I remember a Shakespeare quote is because it changed me.

"...screw your courage to the sticking place..." makes me feel

But even that I had to look up a few days ago to "retrieve" it accurately.
Teachers, let's stop referring to students as storers and retrievers. They're not. And when we use this language, we bring forth an epistemology that shapes our practice.

This article misses that enactive cognitive science (not cognitivism) has been saying this since the 80s

Looking for experiences from ppl reading on the Kindle Scribe.

My eyes require such a large font size that I’m constantly turning pages on PW.

My main source for books is downloads through my library but I’ve seen reviews that not all Kindle books work on the Scribe.

Any experiences welcome!

I guess I could say that considering the inner thoughts of an LLM is a distraction.
I only judge it on whether the output is useful or interesting.

But not so with humans, because I consider their inner life to be as real as mine.

Even though we don't know how/why brains have experiences.
