So WPP killed GroupM, Wavemaker, Mindshare, and EssenceMediacom, because what the media industry needed was yet still more consolidation and far less tailored service to mid-sized clients.

Each of those groups had unique strengths, and I get why you'd merge them...but it's still a loss.

WPP zmienia nazwę swojej globalnej firmy mediowej z GroupM na WPP Media. Marki takie jak Mindshare, Wavemaker oraz EssenceMediacom będą nadal działać w ramach WPP Media.

Shake-up in the world of media agencies today. WPP agency EssenceMediacomX is being dissolved.

It only existed in the UK because of client conflicts stemming from the 2023 merger between Essence and MediaCom.

But after recently losing said conflict clients, it is being subsumed by EssenceMediacom.
EssenceMediacomX is no more - The Media Leader
The GroupM brand has been dissolved after it lost Sky Media and Sainsbury's, reducing the number of client conflicts between the agency and EssenceMediacom.
