'Peigi, you are making fun, what pointy end on a sheep?'.

English spelling is very weird. I'm not a one to talk as a Gaelic speaker, but it is very inconsistent. Spanish is far more regular. Poor folks trying to learn! 3/3 #language #EnglishLanguage #EnglishSpelling

Can we try to reclaim spelling our words in Canada, as would be 100% accurate in the UK?

Let me start with a few :-
Labour (include a u)
Humour (ditto)
Colour (ditto)
Centre (re, not er)
Cancelling (doubling the L)

Does anyone care??

My friend mispronounced "miscellaneous" with a /k/ sound, but then I realized its shortened form, "misc", is often pronounced with a /k/ sound

What other sounds have a different sounds / spelling when truncated?

combination --> combo
inspiration --> inspo
session --> sesh
