Fun fact: I actually got permission from Weenter (the developer of MBG) to use their sprites like their Dragonfish (that green thing) one for height comparison and such.

Way ahead of you. One of the locations in my forest depthcrawl is a flooded wood occupied by dragonfish, large long-toothed predators that lie still in the murky waters to ambush any large animals attempting to wade through.

I’m really happy with the aesthetics of the new Tarakona. I never had the time to make the previous version look the way I wanted. This update allows me to apply the full style I’ve always envisioned for Seashine.

No textures at all, only vertex colors and well-placed triangles.

Alhaitham is based off of deep sea fish, such as the anglerfish and dragonfish. He’s bioluminescent and has a longer, thinner tail. His eyes are larger and more light-sensitive like many deep sea fish, so when he goes to the surface with Kaveh, he has to wear a blindfold.

OGL celebrates Hanukkah by shedding light on the Dragonfish! 🐉🐟. These creatures are one of the darkest colored species in the ocean. Females have a glowing barbel on their chins that they use to help hunt as they swim to the surface during the night.
