Truth Not War have taken their actions to The Hague for David McBride. David was jailed for reporting illegal procedures. As a military lawyer he was at risk of going to jail if he didn't report his findings. The inconvenient truth was that he walked in on a scapegoating mission by the top brass, to jail less senior soldiers for war crimes after each soldier was investigated and cleared. They wanted to change the rules of engagement and re-investigate as the rumours were emerging that Australians were committing war crimes. The top brass knew about the toxic warrior culture & of Ben Roberts Smith's psychopathic nature yet they continued to use him as the poster boy for 'winning' this 'war' & rewarding him while getting brownies points for a kill rate with the U.S. Our govs attempts to destroy McBride instead of taking the opportunity to review & reform has raised far more questions. What was published by OUR ABC The Afghan Logs, aided our govs scapegoat mission. It was 'allowed' to be published & it's only the tip of the iceberg according to McBride. In the evidence was proof 'allegedly' that Aus 🪖 followed the U.S into Syria ZERO Qu's asked then the narrative was made up. There is NO credible reason to incarcerate #DavidMcBride.
Mr. McBride could easily be placed in 'home detention'. No ankle monitor.
That would save the taxpayers (maybe) $100 grand a year.
