A little bear figurine carved out of amber some 6,000 years ago 🐻❤️

A hole runs through the bear’s torso suggesting it was threaded on a cord, perhaps worn or carried as a protective charm.

Found in a peat bog near Słupsk, Poland, in 1887.

Fabulous #dailywonder here from @guywrites.bsky.social down there in #cornwall 😍
The seasonal display of nature’s beauty at Poly Joke, Cornwall. When the poppies and rapeseed flower in unison, set against the blues of the ocean and sky. May your day be calm, my friends. 😊

A single raindrop held on the edge of a leaf, so delicate, so stubborn. Nature clings to its own poetry.

What symphony did you hear today? Was it the gentle hum of your computer, the distant chirping of a bird, or the rhythmic tapping of rain on a windowpane? Our world is filled with a soundtrack if we just listen. Take a moment and breathe.🎶 #DailyWonder #ListenClosely #Soundscape #MindfulMoments

What tiny, everyday wonder caught your eye today? Maybe it was the way sunlight hit a teacup, a squirrel's acrobatic leap, or the perfect blue of the sky. Take a moment to truly see it. There's magic in the mundane if you look close enough! ✨ #DailyWonder #CreativeLiving #Mindfulness

JWM Turner 1835-45 ´Figures in a Storm’

Just smudges of paint yet we see two figures bent against the wind on a beach, deep in conversation. #dailywonder

Roman scent bottles made of gold-band mosaic glass.

Beautiful examples of the skill of ancient glassmakers some 2,000 years ago!

Blimey… #dailywonder thanks to @tjalamont.bsky.social 🌱
There’s almost nothing cooler than seeing a massive strangler fig in a primary rainforest. Strangler figs can be a number of species of Ficus; they germinate on other trees up in the canopy, then grow downward and eventually root. If the host tree dies, it leaves a hollow scaffolding like this. 🌿

This is Jane Austen’s original manuscript for her first few chapters of Sanditon. I came across it at Harewood House at their lovely Austen and Turner exhibition. It was so small and moving because she would never finish her story. #austen ❤️ #dailywonder

Fabulous! #dailywonder 🙌😍 #flower
My #allotment Rhubarb produced this beautiful and very impressive flower - sadly now on the compost heap (apparently it’s not great to keep it on the plant) but I thought it should have it’s moment in the spotlight:
