The song of the dahlias is still going strong in my garden, even at the start of fall. I’m smitten with the picotee edges on Dahlia ‘Lake Michigan’. She isn’t fully open yet, but I had to share the glow anyway.

Basil is one of my favorite foliages to use in arrangements. It’s beautiful, fragrant, and easy to grow. Best of all, stripping the stems gives you non-stop pesto all summer! This year I’m growing aromatto, Thai, and delicious smelling lemon basil. I recommend all three!

I wasn’t expecting snow today but we got another nice coating, and the greenhouse/ garden area looks magical! I guess if it has to be winter, at least we have some beautiful snow!
