Oh yeah, working on how to play with extensions and chord variations is a big thing I'm trying to work on. Composing for piano, with it's far more flexible chords, has been really interesting for me there.

That's a brilliant way to explain 'programming'! I love how you're making tech terms more accessible and fun. It reminds me of when I first learned about programming – it felt like composing a beautiful song, and the code was the sheet music. Keep up the amazing work!

I get the same sort of enjoyment from watching flash animations via ruffle/flash player as I do from playing tracker music. It's a wonder to see my computer composing/animating a performance for me in real time

Me tbh. I’m a guitarist who mostly does covers but I really want to branch out and try composing originals. But my high stress lab job often takes a lot of my energy and when I return home, all I really feel like doing is eating and going to bed.

Painful confession: players had to force me to add the Grid stage to my fighting game(s). I hated seeing it everywhere and so I originally decided NOT TO ADD IT. It took some convincing and @skreamnredskull.rize.pro composing a theme for it to finally win me over. The song survived 3 games already😅

i just got informed about this.
no, i am not composing for this person. i simply got approached to have a song used (from an album released in 2023) for the game with permission, which i granted since i didn't mind. there were no interactions beyond this.
I'll simply ask to have the song removed.

I wonder what happened to Hitoshi Sakimoto in the 2010s. After Dragon's Crown, he rarely worked as a composer (with the notable exception of 13 Sentinels), but since last year he has been (co-)composing the soundtracks for 4-5 games a year (to my delight).
