Today is World Cholangiocarcinoma Day & I joined with other MSPs to highlight Cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer), which is a primary liver cancer with rising case numbers in Scotland.

@AMMF is the UK's only #cholangiocarcinoma charity.
The charity's objectives are to raise the awareness of cholangiocarcinoma, to provide information, to support specialised research teams in their work to find the causes, methods of earlier diagnosis & treatments for this disease.

- For lay people: take symptoms seriously & participate in recommended cancer screenings.
- For doctors: awareness of symptoms & timely imaging matter.
- For researchers & industry: this is a major unmet medical need, scientifically & commercially.

Today is World Cholangiocarcinoma Day.

Cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer) is rare, often diagnosed late, and still has poor survival rates—especially in metastatic disease.
