Honestly I think Emet refuses to acknowledge Nix /because/ he's almost every bit like Nyx — annoyingly upbeat, somewhat stupid sometimes.... frightening when angered. He doesn't like that this incarnation of Nyx is almost too much like him, so he refuses to acknowledge that until the end #ch:nix

#ch:nix oh absolutely. He's powerful physically. There wasn't a time where he wasn't scared he could hurt someone for being too strong, but the fear is 100% more palpable in SHB, post-Innocence. The prospect of turning into a Lightwarden scared Nix so much he wouldn't wake up for days after
