Today is #LincolnAlexander Day in #Canada, honouring the first Black #MemberOfParliament.

He served in WW2, and enjoyed a varied career: lawyer, Observer at the UN, an MP, federal Minister of Labour, and Lieutenant Governor of Ontario!

And my grandfather George was among them. He was an engineer. Upon landing, his landing craft was destroyed. He and 3 others survived the attack. He ALONE survived the war.
